Ranchi, September 16: Jharkhand is set to recruit over 772 Home Guard positions, as announced by the Jharkhand Home Defence Corps. The recruitment is open for both rural and urban Home Guards in the Gadwa district. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website recruitment.jharkhand.gov.in.
For this recruitment drive, 50% of the positions are reserved for female candidates, with an additional 5% of the female quota allocated for widows and divorced women.
Educational Qualification:
– Candidates must have completed either 7th or 10th grade.
– For rural Home Guards, applicants must be permanent residents of the block in Deoghar district from where they are applying.
Age Limit:
– Minimum: 19 years
– Maximum: 40 years
– Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026.
Selection Process:
– Physical Examination:
– Minimum height for male candidates from General, OBC, and BC categories: 162 cm
– Minimum height for SC/ST candidates: 157 cm
– Minimum height for all female candidates: 148 cm
– Hindi Writing Proficiency Test:
– Total Marks: 100
– Minimum Marks: 30
– Technical Proficiency Test:
– A separate technical knowledge exam will be conducted for urban technical positions.
