Bhubaneswar, April 19: Ayushman Mohapatra, a 15-year-old student from Puri, Odisha, has achieved a remarkable feat by scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 in the CBSE Class 10 board examinations. He secured full marks in all five subjects, as announced by CBSE on April 15.
Ayushman, who studied at Aditya Birla Public School, shared his initial reaction to the results, stating, “I was on the school bus when the results were announced. I couldn’t believe it at first and thought my friends were playing a prank. It was only after checking the results myself on three different portals that I realized it was true.”
He expressed that he never expected to achieve a 100% score, especially in subjects like Mathematics and Social Science, where he had previously struggled.
Reflecting on his preparation, Ayushman mentioned that he never attended tuition classes and was taught by his mother during his early years. He emphasized the importance of understanding basic concepts rather than rote learning, using NCERT books and additional resources like R.D. Sharma’s books and online courses from Physics Wallah.
Ayushman maintained a consistent study schedule, dedicating two to two and a half hours daily to his studies, focusing on foundational knowledge rather than just passing exams. His interests lie in science, particularly biology, and he aspires to become a doctor.
He also highlighted the significance of balancing academics with other interests, stating, “I have been learning art since childhood and enjoy playing the keyboard. I participate actively in school sports and have learned coding.”
Ayushman’s family provided him with reassurance before the exams, which helped him stay calm during the examination period. He noted the importance of focusing on weaker subjects while not neglecting his strengths.
His daily routine included preparing for school by 6:40 AM, attending classes until 2 PM, and then engaging in self-study and online courses in the evenings.
