Ajmer, May 30: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to commence the Lecturer and Coach Competitive Examination for the Secondary Education Department from tomorrow. Approximately 5.5 lakh candidates are expected to participate in this examination for a total of 3,944 positions.
The recruitment exams will be conducted from May 31 to June 11, 2026, divided into four groups (A, B, C, and D) based on various subjects. Admit cards have already been uploaded for candidates.
Examinations will take place across 15 district headquarters from May 31 to June 5, and from June 6 to June 11, only in the Jaipur district headquarters. A total of 368 centers have been established, including 70 centers in Ajmer.
Entry Allowed One Hour Before Exam
Candidates will be allowed entry to the exam center only until 60 minutes before the exam starts. Therefore, candidates are advised to reach the center at least 60 minutes prior to the exam to avoid missing out on the opportunity to take the test. This is necessary to complete security checks and identity verification on time.
Photo ID Required
Candidates must bring their original color Aadhaar card to the exam center. If the photo on the Aadhaar card is old or unclear, they should carry another photo ID, such as a voter ID, passport, or driving license, with a clear and recent photo. Additionally, candidates should affix a recent color photograph on their admit card and review the necessary rules issued with it.
Beware of Fraudsters
Candidates are warned not to fall prey to brokers, mediators, or criminals who may promise to help them pass the exam. If anyone demands a bribe or offers other inducements under the pretext of helping candidates pass, they should report it to the investigation agency and the commission’s control room at 0145-2635200, 2635212, or 2635255.
Engaging in unfair practices during the examination may lead to severe penalties under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, including life imprisonment and fines up to ₹10 crore, along with the confiscation of movable and immovable properties.
Exam Schedule and Vacancies
The Group-C Coach and Physical Education exams will be held, with the first paper on General Studies scheduled for June 10 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, and the second paper from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The Group-D Physical Education exam will take place on June 11, with the first paper from 10 AM to 12 PM and the second paper from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The RPSC had announced the recruitment examination for lecturers and coaches in the Secondary Education Department on July 17, 2025, for a total of 3,225 positions across 27 subjects. Subsequently, 219 positions for Political Science were added, and on August 28, 2025, 500 positions for Agriculture Lecturers were announced, bringing the total to 3,944 positions.
