
Ajmer, July 14: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is conducting the Senior Teacher Recruitment Examination, which continues across 27 districts until July 18. A total of 1,221 examination centers have been established for this significant event.
On the first day, 224,119 candidates out of 335,268 registered participated, resulting in an attendance rate of 66.85%. In the second shift, 220,864 candidates attended, leading to a slightly lower attendance of 65.88%.
This examination is one of the largest in the state, and stringent security measures have been implemented, including entry checks with metal detectors. In Ajmer alone, 15,920 candidates are registered for the exam.
Originally, the recruitment advertisement (number 07/2025-26) was issued for 6,500 positions across ten subjects on July 17, 2025. This number was later increased to 10,537 based on proposals from the Secondary Education Department, and finally revised to 9,651 positions for which the current examination is being held.
RPSC has urged candidates to remain vigilant against fraudsters claiming to help them pass the exam. Candidates are advised not to fall for any offers from brokers or con artists. If approached for bribes, they should report the matter with evidence to the police or the commission’s control room at 0145-2635200, 2635212, or 2635255.
Strict penalties will be enforced for any candidate found cheating or involved in malpractices, including life imprisonment and fines up to ₹10 crores, along with the seizure of assets.
The examination is divided into four groups, with Group A covering Social Science, Group B focusing on Hindi, Group C on Science and Sanskrit, and Group D on Mathematics, English, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Gujarati. The exams will take place from July 12 to July 18, with specific timings for each subject.
