Originally advertised on February 3, 2021, the Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander recruitment saw applications from 797,000 candidates. However, the previous examination held from September 13 to 15, 2021, was cancelled due to a paper leak. Initially, only candidates who had appeared in the earlier exam were allowed to participate in the re-exam, but later, all candidates were given the opportunity to take part.

Chairman Lt. Colonel Kesari Singh emphasized that maintaining the confidentiality of the examination is a top priority, and efforts are being made to ensure quick results for the hard work of the youth.

Candidates are required to arrive at the examination centers two hours prior to the start of the exam. Entry will be closed 60 minutes before the exam begins, and no latecomers will be allowed to enter.

To prevent any form of cheating or impersonation, rigorous biometric verification will be implemented, including thumb impressions and facial recognition. Additionally, strict measures will be in place to prevent the use of high-tech devices such as meta glasses and Bluetooth gadgets.
