Udaipur, April 17: Lakshit Parmar, an 18-year-old student from Udaipur, has made headlines by scoring a remarkable 100% in the RBSE Class 10 examinations in the specially-abled category, despite facing significant physical challenges due to cerebral palsy.
Lakshit, who struggles with mobility and cannot write on his own, was supported during his exams by a writer, a junior student from the ninth grade. His results were released by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) on Thursday, bringing immense joy to his family.
His father, Dinesh Kumar Parmar, expressed his emotional pride, stating, “Some family members questioned my son’s physical abilities, but today they are calling to congratulate us.” Dinesh has been instrumental in Lakshit’s education, carrying him to school every day as he dreams of becoming a civil servant.
In an inspiring message, Lakshit shared, “I studied for 3 to 4 hours daily, focusing on all subjects. My favorite is Science, and I also enjoy Philosophy. I never felt different at school; my friends have always supported me.” He emphasized the importance of focusing on one’s strengths rather than difficulties.
Dinesh reflected on the journey, saying, “For 18 years, I have carried my son, helping him with every movement. Today, he has truly made our family proud.” Lakshit’s mother, Rekha Parmar, added that despite numerous treatments across the country, there has been no cure for his condition, yet he has excelled academically.
Rekha noted that Lakshit enjoys reading novels and has a keen interest in books like “Atomic Habits” and “The Psychology of Money.” His teachers have praised his curiosity and ability to grasp concepts quickly, often solving problems independently.
His sister, Diya, who is in the ninth grade, mentioned that Lakshit always encourages them to use education as a tool to overcome challenges, stating, “He believes that with knowledge, anything is possible.” Lakshit’s journey serves as a powerful reminder of resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
