Mumbai, June 10:
In a surprising turn of events, a former Meta employee named Elvin has left his job to pursue a new venture selling noodles. This decision has gone viral after a video interview with financial advisor and content creator Louisa Tay was shared on Instagram.
Elvin revealed that he found his role as a software engineer at Meta to be boring, prompting him to make the bold choice to start a noodle stall in a local food market. When asked why he left such a prestigious company, he candidly stated that working at large firms often leads to restructuring and layoffs, which can diminish the initial excitement of the job.
Despite earning significantly more at Meta—two to three times his current income from the noodle stall—Elvin expressed no regrets about his decision. He emphasized that he finds greater happiness in his new venture, which allows him to explore his passions.
To manage the stall, Elvin has enlisted the help of his girlfriend, as he currently cannot afford to hire additional staff. He encourages others considering a change to persevere and remain open to new opportunities, stating that there will always be a door open for those willing to seek it.
Elvin’s story resonates with many who feel trapped in their jobs, highlighting the importance of pursuing what brings joy and fulfillment.
