Mumbai, September 11: Muskan Kumari from Bakri in Begusarai, Bihar, has secured the 80th rank in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th exam. Although this rank qualifies candidates for the position of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Muskan was unable to take up the role due to her age, as the minimum age requirement is 22 years, and she is currently 21. Instead, she has been appointed as an Assistant Planning Officer.
Muskan has shown a deep interest in studies since childhood. She completed her early education in her home district and aimed to enter civil services. She was the district topper in both her 10th and 12th board exams under the Bihar Board. After attempting the 69th BPSC exam without success, she went on to take the 70th BPSC exam, achieving her current rank. She credits her success to her parents, husband, and in-laws.
In recognition of her achievement, Bihar government minister Sanjay Paswan honored her, and she has also received the Bhama Shah Ratna award at a felicitation ceremony by the Taelak Vaishya Sangh.
Muskan’s journey reflects her dedication, balancing her studies with family responsibilities. Her story serves as an inspiration for many aspiring civil servants.
