Bhubaneswar, June 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an International Sports Stadium in Odisha on June 24. Located in Mayurbhanj district, the stadium aims to provide opportunities for youth in rural areas to excel in sports. Designed by South Asia’s leading sports infrastructure company, Great Sports Tech, the stadium features a FIFA-standard football field, a world athletics certified running track, and courts for tennis and pickleball. The facility is equipped with modern lighting, allowing events to be held at night. The stadium supports multiple sports, including football, athletics, hockey, tennis, and cricket, enhancing the sporting landscape in the region.
