Kochi, September 13: Sixteen-year-old Raul John Aju is making headlines for his innovative contributions to the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Known as India’s AI Kid, Raul is currently studying commerce in the 12th grade at North Edappally GHS in Kochi, Kerala.
Raul’s journey into AI began at the tender age of nine when he started teaching himself the intricacies of artificial intelligence. His initial interest was sparked through video editing, which led him to explore more advanced technologies. When his father secured a job at Adobe, Raul gained access to premium tech tools that significantly enhanced his knowledge of AI. By the age of twelve, he had created his first robot, MeBot, which marked the beginning of his recognition in the AI and robotics sectors.
Today, Raul leads a team of 15 employees at his startup, ThinkCraft, which has trained over 500,000 students worldwide in AI and new technologies. Despite balancing his studies and board exam preparations, Raul manages his startup effectively. He has also shared his insights on the future of AI and technology at international platforms, including the India AI Impact Summit 2026, where he discussed responsible technology use alongside notable figures like UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
ThinkCraft not only educates students about AI but also provides training for professionals on AI tools, offering practical learning experiences that make the process engaging and accessible. Raul’s innovative approach is paving the way for a new generation of tech enthusiasts in India.
