Mumbai, October 23: In significant developments in the business and finance sectors, Union Minister Piyush Goyal recently led a delegation of 100 startups to the Germany Trade and Investment Summit. The minister is in Germany to participate in the Berlin Global Dialogue, where he is engaging with international policymakers and business leaders to explore collaboration in advanced engineering, green mobility, and clean technology. This initiative aims to connect Indian startups with European markets, enhance investment opportunities, and promote international business expansion.

In another notable appointment, Dinesh Kumar has been appointed as the Director of Piramal Finance Limited. His extensive experience in banking spans over four decades, including senior roles in corporate and international banking, treasury, risk, technology, and compliance. Dinesh previously served as the Chairman of SBI from 2020 to August 2024, where he played a crucial role in the merger of SBI with its five associate banks and the Indian Women Bank. His appointment is expected to strengthen Piramal Finance’s position in the non-banking financial sector.
