Ajmer, September 15: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to conduct the Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander Combined Competitive Re-Examination on September 20, 2026. A total of 218,131 candidates are expected to participate in this re-exam, which will take place across 666 examination centers in 11 districts.
Preparations for the examination have been finalized at all levels. Admit cards for the candidates will be released on September 17, allowing them to check their examination centers and other essential information.
To ensure a secure and smooth conduct of the exam, RPSC Chairman Lt. Colonel Kesari Singh held a significant meeting with senior police and administrative officials to review security arrangements. He emphasized that maintaining the confidentiality of the examination is the commission’s top priority, and any attempts at malpractice or impersonation will not be tolerated.
The examination will utilize biometric verification and facial recognition technology to eliminate the possibility of fraud. Any irregularities detected will lead to swift and stringent legal action under the Rajasthan Public Examination Act, 2022.
Examination Centers Across 11 Districts
A total of 666 examination centers have been established in 11 districts, including 74 in Ajmer, 48 in Alwar, 58 in Bharatpur, 47 in Bikaner, 23 in Hanumangarh, 187 in Jaipur, 81 in Jodhpur, 58 in Kota, 10 in Sri Ganganagar, 16 in Tonk, and 64 in Udaipur.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the General Hindi paper, while the second shift will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for General Knowledge and General Science.
Admit Cards to be Released on September 17
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of the commission and the SSO portal on September 17, 2026, by entering their required details.
Mandatory Fifth Option on OMR Sheet
This time, candidates are required to fill the fifth option (unanswered question) on the OMR sheet. If a candidate chooses not to answer a question, they must fill this fifth circle. An additional 10 minutes will be provided for this task in each paper. The commission has also issued a correction notice regarding this on its website.
Arrive Two Hours Early
Candidates must arrive at the examination center two hours before the exam starts. Entry will be allowed only until 60 minutes before the exam begins, after which the entrance will be completely closed.
Strict Security Measures
To prevent any form of cheating or impersonation, rigorous biometric authentication will be implemented using thumb impressions and facial recognition. Candidates will undergo thorough checks during entry, and measures are in place to prevent high-tech devices like meta glasses and Bluetooth gadgets.
Intensive Monitoring by Police and Administration
The police and administrative officials have been urged to ensure comprehensive arrangements and robust security for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination. There will be a complete ban on mobile phones and other electronic devices at the examination centers, and the examination process will be recorded as per the established SOP.
In the previous recruitment cycle, 797,000 candidates applied for the Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander examination, which was initially advertised on February 3, 2021. The earlier exam was canceled due to a paper leak, and a decision was made to allow all candidates to participate in the re-exam after initially restricting it to those who had appeared in the previous test.
