Rajasthan SI Re-Exam to be Conducted in One Day with New Security Measures

Ajmer, June 6: The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RPSC) has announced significant changes for the re-examination of the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment, originally conducted in 2021. The re-exam, now scheduled for September 20, 2026, will take place in just one day instead of the previous three-day format, due to a reduced number of interested candidates, which stands at approximately 153,000.

In a bid to enhance security and prevent paper leaks, the RPSC has introduced eight major changes for the upcoming examination. Initially, 797,000 candidates had applied for the SI recruitment, with 383,097 participating in the previous exam before it was cancelled. Following this cancellation, only those who appeared in the first exam were given another chance to take the re-exam.

Candidates were allowed to update their application details from May 16 to May 30, 2026, but only 153,000 showed interest, while 230,000 opted out.

The changes include:
1. Early Paper Arrival: Exam papers will now arrive at the centers half an hour before the candidates, reducing the risk of leaks.
2. Candidate Entry: Candidates will enter the exam center one hour prior to the exam start time, ensuring that papers arrive after their entry.
3. Live Photo Capture: To prevent impersonation, live photo capture will be implemented during the exam, matching candidates with their registration photos.
4. Handwriting Samples: Candidates will provide a handwriting sample in the presence of an examiner to verify their identity.
5. Admit Card Security: The admit cards will now feature a watermark and QR code to prevent tampering.
6. OMR Sheet Changes: The OMR sheets will include a fifth option, which candidates must fill if they choose not to answer a question, to avoid negative marking.
7. Token System for Interviews: A token system will be introduced for interviews to ensure anonymity in candidate selection.
8. Larger Photos Required: Attendance sheets will now require larger photographs and fingerprints from candidates.

These measures aim to ensure a fair and secure examination process for the candidates involved in the SI recruitment.
